Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
Palatine Hill and Vatican Museums are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Piazza Navona and Church of St. Louis of the French. There's much more to do: pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica di San Pietro, make a trip to Pantheon, contemplate the long history of Colosseum, and admire the local landmark of Santa Maria in Trastevere.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Rome is an approximately 18-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train. The time zone difference moving from Malaysia Time (MYT) to Central European Time (CET) is minus 7 hours. Considered a cultural, artistic, and architectural jewel of Italy, Florence is the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance.
Shop till you drop at Mercato Centrale and L'Arte dei Ciompi. Get a sense of the local culture at Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and The Baptistery of St. John. Next up on the itinerary: examine the collection at Uffizi Gallery, take some stellar pictures from Piazzale Michelangelo, appreciate the extensive heritage of Piazza della Signoria, and admire the masterpieces at Pitti Palace.
